Customers can leverage VOSAI through a simple JSON RESTful API. Images and VOSAI tokens are sent and the VOSAI Miners pick up the work requests.
Mining for VOSAI is much different than all other blockchains. Most blockchains are processing cryptocurrency transactions. However, on PATHWAY, Miners are performing machine learning computations, then sending in the results and accompanying perception hashes to be stored on PATHWAY. They not only secure the network,they also perform useful work with their computational power that maximizes their earning potential.
The Oracle bridges the gap between PATHWAY and Ethereum blockchains. The Oracle validates transactions on PATHWAY and triggers the Ethereum Smart Contract to send tokens as payment to the VOSAI miners.
The Smart Contract is a code object on the Ethereum blockchain handling all exchanges with the VOSAI tokens, including our Pre-sale, Public Sale and future sales as well as minting tokens, and sending / receiving payments to and from Customers and Miners.
VOSAI’s blockchain leverages perception (or perceptual) hashing instead of the standard cryptographic hashing used by all other blockchains. Traditionally, other blockchains secure their network with a cryptographic hash code technique forcing miners to brute force cryptographic hash codes.
VOSAI’s use of perceptual hash codes allows the network to be secure while focusing it on machine learning. This same technique can apply to any form of media such as audio, video, images and even raw data – really just about anything.
Most importantly, perceptual hashing allows for data to be understood but still remain private. The perception hash codes cannot be reverse engineered to share sensitive data. Therefore, we can freely store just about anything on a publicly distributed ledger like PATHWAY without risk to privacy or security. This becomes more important when images of people are used for machine learning purposes (e.g. determining emotion).
Customers make requests to the VOSAI API expecting a result as it relates to machine learning. For example, a farmer could be sending in images of their farm in order to help them find illness. They expect to see a result such as which of the images contains the illness sought after. In this example, the results is just that.
VOSAI Miners are tasked with performing machine learning computations that are assigned to their machine. The VOSAI Learner includes machine learning algorithms and models that apply to a customer’s request. The product of our Miners’ efforts is two fold. First and foremost, perceptual hash codes are generated for use on the PATHWAY blockchain. The second, is the resultant work expected by the Customer.
These results are never saved centrally nor are they accessible by the Miner directly. Moreover, the Miner cannot view the inbound information nor can they review results for a given request. The Miner in this case only knows their machine is being used to perform a machine learning computation and how well it performed.
Furthermore, all transactions, requests and responses are secured end-to-end with enterprise grade and hardened encryption to satisfy even the strictest of policies an organization may face today.
VOSAI uses AES-256 end-to-end encryption. Therefore, all information is encrypted as it moves back and forth between all parties involved. At no time will a Miner have access to see the raw information in the payload. At most, the Miner will be able to view the resultant perceptual hash code created for PATHWAY.
This level of security ensures that no sensitive information is ever shared with 3rd parties in any way.
